ACT Limited has been supplying specialist engineering tooling since 1984. Originally formed as the UK distributor for Mircona AB, Sweden, the business quickly built a reputation for solving difficult machining and tooling problems across UK manufacturing.

Today, ACT Limited supplies a focused range of high-quality engineering products, including Nine9 cutting tools and tool holders, SLOKY torque tools and screwdrivers, Mircona grooving and parting-off systems, specialist tooling, chamfering solutions and microlubrication systems.

Our Background

ACT was formed in 1984 by the late chairman Keith London, together with Brian Cockings and John Perry. The company began as the exclusive UK distributor for Mircona’s grooving and parting-off system, manufactured in Sweden.

From there, ACT developed into a problem-solving tooling supplier, helping customers with applications often regarded as special or difficult by the wider tooling industry. The cutting tool division expanded into face grooving, parting off, slot and groove tooling, modified inserts, modified tool holders and special-purpose tooling.
